Does anyone else find the idea of being lost at sea to be disturbing?

Many times we hear about shipwreck and boating victims who are lost at sea and presumed dead. Does anyone else find this unsettling? No grave for family members to visit or anything. It's like the person just disappeared off the face of the earth.
