When I first came to this subreddit, I had a mild fear of deep water. I came here thinking I could cure myself. Now I'm terrified. It's gotten to the point where I start shaking or panicking when I think of these things, and sometimes I feel like I'm trapped underwater and something is coming from under me even when I'm standing on land. I just want to be able to swim in a lake again. Does anyone have any tips for combating this fear?Inb4 "see a psychiatrist." Yes, that is a known option.
