With a cheap 20$ vr headset you put your phone in and connect to your pc you to can experience your greatest fear for real. It is an honest to God fearful experience playing subnautica in vr, you really feel like you are in a vast empty environment in the middle of the ocean with no land or escape. Your space ship malfunctioned and you took the escape Pod which dropped into the ocean on an alternative planet with unfamiliar territory. The underwater environment is very different than what we know on earth and it really helps to give you that unfamiliar feeling. You can even be attacked and killed unexpectedly by creatures. I couldn't play for more than 20 min without bring overwhelmed and quitting, during the in game night I awaited sun rise on the roof of my floating vessel as I could not bear to go under water. This isn't just a video experience, it feels to real.
