Title pretty much explains it all. Basically, ever since I was little I've always been afraid of underwater mechanisms that suck in water, or push it out....for lack of a better explanation. When I was younger, I would throw a fit if my parents would start to drain the bathwater before I was safely out of the tub, and I avoided self-flushing toilets until I was about 13.I also had a situation where a self-sufficient pool vacuum (the ones that are kinda like water roombas, that go on their own) ran over my foot in a pool, and boy did that exacerbate the fear.I'm 19 years old and I still refuse to swim near my pool filter, or go in hot tubs. Is there a name for this specific fear?
